tuesday the 13th

the past few days have been totally awesome and tiring....

- samanthas birthday party was a blast. we had over 15 adults and 9 kids. we ate mole con pollo and arroz, yummy! i love mole. the day before the party sonia and i were very busy with the planning and decorating. the night before the party we went to a party and came back like at 1 am and since we were not sleepy we decided to start decorating. we worked on our ¨bees¨, put up the ballons, finished with the gelatinas, and so much more. we stayed working until 5 am and by that time we were finally tired and sleepy. sonia woke up two hours later and i slept until 10 am. samantha was somewhat tired during her party and she even took an hour nap. when she woke up she was full of energy and started playing with her friends. when it was to cut and eat the cake we sang her ¨las maƱanitas¨and she was somewhat scared, i dont know why. maybe the thought of everyone singing made her scared or something. she didnt blow the candle, she was a bit scared. last year we made her a mini party with only like 5 guests and a small cake so maybe that was the reason she was a bit scared, who knows? after a little bit she came back to being normal and started eating her cake and gelatina. we had a lot of fun, but it was tiring because we were helping in serving our guests. maybe next year i will hire some waiters, haha!

- i am also excited because it looks like i have a new job! last week i found this ad online and applied. i went through some exams and some interviews and i made it. training starts next monday. i will be working in a call center for orbitz, a travel agency. i love the schedule because its from 8 am to 3 pm, which leaves me time to teach English to some friends who have asked for classes.

- with this cool schedule i will also get to do one thing that i have been putting off for a long time....study! i found this private university that offers the major i want, international relations. i have waited and waited for this opportunity for quite some time and if all goes well i can start in january. please pray that it works out ok. although its a private university its not that expensive and with the salary i will be getting and the extra income from teaching English to some friends i can so make it. please be praying about that.
hope you have enjoyed this little update, i will post some more during the week.
